ABOUT SANTA GERTRUDIS

Santa Gertrudis, Ibiza’s geographical center, is a microcosm. The main square, with its whitewashed fortress church and yellow tower, is surrounded by bars, restaurants, and shops. Fruit orchards, sheep, goats, and the island’s only dairy cows surround the village.
Santa Gertrudis has grown rapidly but carefully in recent years. The village square is a pedestrian-friendly plaza with hip cafés bars and restaurants joining traditional Ibicenco establishments. Smart, modern villas line the new streets.
Late afternoon and evening are when this charming village shines. Children run around on the beautifully lit squares or play on the fabulous playground, and the terraces of the bars and restaurants are full of people talking; no loud music is disturbing the relaxed vibe.
